From a drive along Route 9.
Route 9 is a rural two lane road in Delaware that essentially parallels the Delaware River and Bay coastline enroute to the Atlantic Ocean. I took a drive the other day and here are a few photographs I made along the way. C&C always solicited and welcome as I try to improve my technique and the strength of each image.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Adrew. I would crop some of the sky in #1 for a better composition. I like #2 as it is

Yes I was wondering about the same thing. I do seem to keep agreeing with you today, Binnur.
Or maybe as an alternative, try some extra brightness, very carefully, to make more of the sky. Possibly a mixture of both.

Re: From a drive along Route 9.
Hi Andrew,
I love the sky in that first image (but I love skies so my advice is questionable)... I would crop a wee bit off of the bottom and enhance/lighten the trees and the sky just a little, likely as Geoff has suggested. Beautiful serene scene.
2nd image. Beautifully photographed. Gorgeous light!

Re: From a drive along Route 9.
Thanks for the comments folks. Funny how they directly reflect my own feelings.......technically I thought maybe the sky might need a little crop but I liked the way the sky looked and left it as is. Like Christina, I too enjoy a pretty sky and have trouble cropping them! I will take the advice and play with a crop and the brightness.
Thanks again,
Andrew

To tell a very different but appealing story, try a crop in the first one that has a 1:2 aspect ratio. Yes, it will eliminate most of the sky but it will be quite dramatic in a very different way.

Here is a version cropped to Mike's suggested ratio. Slight brightness increase in the trees. I like the final result very much. Thanks for the help!

That cropped image appears to have so much more, width and depth than the original.
