Problem facing with Sony W35 with flash

Hi all.I am using my Sony W35 digital camera. Its a 4 yrs old camera.Trust me I clicked lotz of award wining snaps with it.But now a days I am facing a strange problem with my camera. When I am using my camera with flash at night I found aomw low light problem. So I increased the intensity of flash. Then i found huge percentage of over exposure. So i set again the normal flash intensity. But now I am finding that some spots on y pics when I use my flash and picture quality also becomes very low.
I thought first that it is a metering problem. So I recheck my camera meter. But no improvement.
Do you think that its a image sensor problem or any thing else?
Please suggest me how I can reduce this problem.Thanx.

Not a sensor problem, the bright fuzzy spots in this picture is caused by the flash illuminating dust, or insects, that are floating, or flying, in the air.

    Cheers,
