First question: How are you viewing on the computer. Are you transfering the images or are you trying to look at them directly from the memory card.

Second question: What type of computer do you have and what software are you using to view with?

    I have Photoshop & Lightroom
I have in the past using this very same memory card loaded into Lightroom and also viewed in Photoshop and Windows Explorer successfully. In fact there are 197 photos on Memory Card I can view successfully as per above methods.

However this morning I took about 10 more photographs and I cannot view this via any of the above, however they can be viewed on the camera. That is using the very same memory card of course.

You don't say where you are located. I have found a problem with lightroom in that if you import photos sometimes they go into a differently dated folder. Something to do with your time difference from GMT. Is it possible you lost the folder?

Have you tried locating the files in the camera when attached to your computer just using windows explorer or any other program for viewing folders and files?

    Re: Memory Card Help required

Most important: Considering that you can view the photos using the camera, the image files are definitely on the memory card. The people here absolutely will figure out a way for you to get them to your computer.

You haven't answered Manfred's question about the type of computer you are using. I assume he is asking whether you're using a Windows operating system or a Mac.

It's possible that the card reader in the computer has suddenly gone bad. To test that, use a different method than you normally use to transfer the image files. As an example, use your operating system to copy the files from the memory card to the computer. Another possibility is to connect your camera to your computer using a cable and use the capability built into your camera to download the image files. Then import them into Lightroom.

Is it something to do with camera raw? Is your version of lightroom compatible with 60d raw files.

I think Macca may be onto something. If you normally shoot in JPEG and you have inadvertently switch to RAW it's possible the software on the computer will not read the RAW files. Your first step is to check the camera setting. If it is set to RAW you may have to download a RAW editor for your software.

A further comment. I use Lightroom, but I do NOT use Lightroom's facility to "import from card". I use my computer's file management system to copy the image files into the appropriate folder (in my case all my images files are under a single folder hierarchy), I then open Lightroom and import them into the catalogue from that location (i e the image files themselves don't move). That way I know where I am at each stage.

The Lightroom experts think I'm crazy, but blame my upbringing I certainly never have this kind of problem.

    Re: Memory Card Help required

I have had some strange things happen to the numbering system the camera uses in the past that appear to be down to deleting shots on the card from the computer. I have also had cameras decide to start a new folder.

As cards sometimes have a lot of shots on them these days I find the most recent ones by sorting on the date.

All mentioned in case they are there but not where expected. The OP just mentions can't view not that the card can't be read or that the earlier shots can't be viewed.

Some cameras will store in their buffer when the card is full. They can be viewed via the camera but ........... obviously not from the card.
