After the rain..

Because it keeps raining where I live which is not very usual for this season, I started uploading photos before or after rain I hope to shoot and upload some sunset photos when the sun shines again. I appreciate your opinions about the composition,colours and edit







A crop with less green

Both are very nice with rich but natural colors. I prefer the first one but just by a small amount. I would crop to eliminate at least half of the sky but be aware that I'm a fan of relatively tight crops.

I agree with Mike. Crop out more of the uninteresting sky. You can try the look just by scrolling up a bit here. Sometimes a sky like this one can be made to appear more threatening by using a graduated filter that would darken it. Maybe, too, you could crop even more green off the bottom, showing only the yellow. I do like the color contrast you have found at this site including the reflections on the water. This would be a nice location to return to.

I cropped the sky some more and also just a bit from the bottom, IMO it looks better too. Here is the result.

Can I be difficult, Binnur?

Starting with the first image; yes crop a bit from the left side, but also more from the sky. Would that give you 5 x 4 ratio?

Hi Geoff , I tried your suggestion but it didn't make very much difference. It actually became like second image but with less sky. I think different crops don't make very much difference for this scene as it mainly consists of colours,reflections and a curve.

Very nice shots Binnur. I think the edited version is better shot. The dash of yellow is a nice addition to all the green and blue.
