Hi JWB. I like this because of its unique view and lighting. But…!! I find myself looking at the dark hidden part underneath and not seeing enough of what is there. Should you lighten it a bit help us see clearly what is is? Or should you darken right out of our view? Maybe your choice here is best? The small white dot down low, I would definitely take out. I do not think we need to look there.

Even when outdoors with full natural light, underexposing a flower, so that the LCD screen is almost dark, and then adding angled light from a flash is an interesting technique which blackens backgrounds and lets the flash act as sunlight.
