I wonder about a very slight crop from the left and bottom?
Jeff,
Was it intentional to crop the top of the foreground tree or just the way it ended up? I ask because I've looked (a couple of times) through your photo blog and you have amazing landscapes (not to put too fine a point on it but you work is amazing) and since the top of the tree is cropped I feel it may have been intentional on your part but if so, to what purpose?
He's another ringer...a great photographer hiding his skills under a hat.you have amazing landscapes
Hi Jeff, very nice image I wish the tree was in full shape.
Yes, another stunningly beautiful image. I would like to see the top of the tree but the image is so beautiful it truly doesn't matter.
Nicely done, I tend to reshoot when I find I've cropped a structure unintentionally.
Terrific image that I would like just a little bit better if it was cropped according to Geoff's suggestion.
I like that the top of the tree is not displayed, leaving that part of it to our imagination. The house is the primary subject and the tree is playing a supporting role, so it's not necessary to include all of it in the image, at least not for me.
Quite captivating!
B&W is really powerful.
Jeff, an excellent image, which I do enjoy. My input:
- The image for me personally feels out of balance just a little bit. Too heavy on the right side. I prefer the composition of this scene that is displayed on your wonderful blog site. I'd like the tree nearer to the left of the image (via cropping, since that is your only option)
- Would also like to see the full tree. In situations where you can't get the full scene for some reason, consider shooting two or more images and stitching them in post
Otherwise, a lovely image with power and mood.
Interesting the number of us who want to see the top of the tree.
My first thought was a little off the left and the bottom, and where is the top of the tree.
Interesting to see Mike did not need the top of the tree.
Time for me to get back on board here.
Been away doing other things for quite a while now, motor racing and motor homing.
Back home for a month then away again, hopefully to take photos in Europe, but on a P/S!!
