My first thought is why are you shooting these at F2.8 when you require as much focus depth as possible. I would be using as narrow an aperture as possible. F11 or more. With the camera on Aperture priority.

The first scene is a reasonable composition but there is so much out of focus due to the shallow focus depth. One bloom on its own would have worked better, alternatively I think you would need a merge of several different focus points to get all of this into sharp focus.

The first bumblebee has worked OK but the second one appears to have focused incorrectly, was there a wind movement problem? It is so easy to lose focus on macro shots, particularly with such a shallow depth of focus due to using F2.8. Those massive pollen baskets on her legs is an interesting item though.

As good a title as anything else. Nice images, I like the creature shots.

Hi Geoff, thank you for your feedback. The second bee there was a breeze that came up which was bad timing. Why did I use f2.8, I have no idea except to say that I was too tired after a stretch of very long work hours to think totally straight

    John, thank you.
