Very nice shot, IMO it needs cropping the blurred 3 flowers on the left side by leaving the sharp ones in a vertical frame

Yes, certainly something to think about. Not sure about how to crop top and bottom to suit; but might work if you still have that stem on the left running out of frame at the top left side.

feel free to give it a shot. I could find no way to do it without a feeling of out of balance.

Just a thought, Brian.

A crop and a little bit of clone. Is it too close? Might be able to go a fraction larger and do more cloning or use a 2 x 3 ratio crop instead.

as you say 'just a thought'. In closer certainly accentuates the three freshest flowers but it looses the circle of life feeling of the first. But your vision has its own feeling. I think I shall have to learn to do a little more exploring with composition.

I went back and gave it a try. To me it still feels cut off on the right hand side but here is what I came up with.

There are usually several options with this sort of scene. What I try to do is to trim my subject and anything which looks wrong from the foreground/background before shooting. But too often, I still miss something!
