It is amazing how well grasshoppers (and crickets) can jump with only one hind leg. You would expect them to go sideways but they seem to be able to still jump straight!

The wee beasties continue to amaze me. It is one of the unforeseen benefits of Myra buying the camera. We both get to see a part of the universe we never knew existed.
