Be careful John, don't cut her/him too much. The baby might get hurt !

I want to do some street photography in the future too , I like every kind of photography indeed. I generally like the compositions in your images John (I still remember the lady on a scooter !). 'Taste Treat' is very colourful and I like it. I wish the man's knee was in the frame and he wasn't wearing those glasses with reflections. IMO 'Text Her' would be a better photo if the plants in the front were in focus, they are a bit distracting, but the lady looks perfect

    Binnur,

Thanks for the comments and critique. I took about 10 photos of the couple, I'll see if I have another more complete, I didn't like the totes beside them on the bench either.

Regarding the young lady texting, I only got about 3 shots before she moved on, I thought about cloning out the plants but felt it added depth to the image.

Looking forward to seeing some of your street shots.

'Taste Treat' - John, the one with totes has better light , the man has full knees and glasses with less reflections. So IMO it is a better photo than the first one but I don't know what can be done with the totes, does cloning work?

    Hi Binnur,

It would take a lot of work but it could be done. I would have to try and maintain the structure of the bench while cloning out the plastic bags. If I had taken a wider angle shot and included the end of the bench; I could totally remove the unwanted objects and then just transform the remaining outer areas to one complete image.

The one on the left seems more natural John

Thanks Binnur. I used PSE "adjust for skintones" for the photo on the right, the program has a tendency to cool the skin tones.

...for a street portrait but the extras make it difficult. Shot at f/4.5, 90mm, ISO 100, heavily cropped.

Hi John IMO the man's head is competing with the girl's in #1. I like #2 more, it might look better with a tighter crop as the blurred heads in the BG are a bit distracting.

Hi John... I prefer the Camera Raw B&W rendition, and I think the cloning out seems to work here. I would have wanted to see more information on the environment since this is a street shot. Any reason why you decided to crop the image? Cheers.

I used PSE's infrared filter on the first and the urban setting on the second, Camera RAW on third.
