Between The Bridges; A Twofer
This shot is two for one. One is that it continues my Between The Bridges project with a shot of one of the bridges. The second is that it meets the New Year resolution I made to "shoot more people" this year. OK, so it's not a people intensive shot but there IS a person there. I am happy with the amount of detail I was able to capture under the covered bridge but still not blow out the background. Undoubtedly the heavy cloudy evening light was the key. C&C solicited and always appreciated.

That's a great capture given the dynamic range of the exposure, the indoor/outdoor detail, and the moving person in the image. What kind of PP did you do with this one Andrew?

Re: Between The Bridges; A Twofer
Hi Andrew,
Looks good to me. It might be a tad “soft” but nothing that cannot be fixed in post.
Looking at the Exif I would say you should try using a little smaller Aperture (f8) with a higher Shutter speed (1/100 is ok if your hands are still steady) by pushing the ISO way up. If I am not mistaken, the 6D is very good at ISO 6400 and even higher. (Don’t fear high ISO with a 6D.)
Test the high ISO and see where you can push it to without making the image to noisy for you.
What I like is the way you see things, guess you must be a “Square head”. The lines and symmetry with the runner in the bottom third makes it a nice composition. Add a little sharpening without going overboard and see the difference.

Re: Between The Bridges; A Twofer
Frank and Andre- Using Lightroom 5 I brought the shadows and black point up to reveal more of the bridge interior. I applied some clarity to bring out more detail. Added sharpening and luminance noise reduction overall. I also boosted the red, orange, yellow luminance a little to bring out the color in the interior of the bridge. As Andre notes there is a bit of softness that I think is a result of pushing the noise reduction too much. The Canon 6D really is very good in low light and high ISO so I'm attaching the same image with reduced noise reduction. Thanks for looking and commenting!

Nicely done and I guess you can qualify it as a people shot.

Re: Between The Bridges; A Twofer
Just one tiny change that I would make, Andrew.
On the right side there is a narrow gap in the planking where a tiny patch of green is showing. I find it distracting so would clone it out.
