    When it's raining...reach for Scotties.

Perfect depth of field, shutter speed to show the rain and incredible eye!

However, the subjects (woman and Scotties box) are not sharp enough. I increased sharpening even to this small file without adding artifacts to make it work just fine. This image might also be improved by converting to monochrome but I didn't try it and am not sure without doing so.

    Mike,

Thanks for the comments, critique, and suggestions. I will try a few conversions and see how it turns out.

The second conversion works best for me, though the subjects still aren't sharp enough for my taste.

That's a well seen grab shot. I prefer the mono version because it reduces the distraction of any BG colour. Mike's right about it needing a little sharpening but IMHO you also need to pull back the highlights a little particularly in the BG. Would it also be worth cropping the figure on the left?

    John,

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I considered cropping the figure on the left but felt it would create an unbalance with the figure on the right.

I like the idea and the shot but what about a crop like this but more careful cloning. I should have used some gradual paint.

Product Placement is Getting Out of Hand

Bringing up the ladies face is NVG not sure if some of this is actually rain so more care needed there. Maybe mostly eyes and hair and the scotties and hand. I blurred out the white rim on the arm a bit. Needs to be smoother. Also blurred out the dots on the blouse a bit.
