    Hi Tom I like the colours and composition but image looks so soft I don't know why. Out of focus or camera shake ?

    Agreed. More sharpening solves the problem.

    The first one is so much nicer for me because of the preserved detail in the highlights of the water and the more natural saturation. The one thing that I like better about the second one is the sharpening, though I would like even more sharpening.

    I too like this very much for composition. I'm wondering if the softness originates from the high f-stop, the need for which is owed to your nice long exposure. I have read about diffraction at small apertures as a threat to sharpness, but have not generally understood to be of practical significance nor noticed it in my images.
