The Florida Highwaymen
Were a group of African-American artists who sold extremely colorful paintings of Florida often with over the top (by northern standards) sunset colors. This is one example.

I've shown you this image as a monochrome, finally settling on Sepia but, along the way I tonemapped it (photomatix) and spent some time playing with saturation settings. Today I noticed the resemblance to the Highwayman pictures in the intermediate images.

Plenty of color, that's for sure. I like the composition in the photo. And with this silhouette style the colors work too. It would be nice printed on canvas for a room that needs brightening up.
