    Ecuadorian People - Galapagos - Set 12

Hi. After so many creatures and landscapes, I am sharing some humans now! This thread is a tribute to the Ecuadorian people. They are one of the most polited, friendly, simple and honest people I ever met. Not only we (my Dad and I) had no problem during our week there, but they did help us with all the needs we had. I hope you like it. C&C welcomed, as always. Thanks for viewing!

3 - Sea Lion, waiting for its snack!

4 - These guys caught a small shark on their fishing net! I saw them releasing it, though. These small sharks are everywhere there.

5 - Another sea lion, waiting for its "order"!

6 - The secret of Galápagos: Food abundance. That is one of the reasons all the creatures there live along so peacefully with humans and dont fear us when we approach them (except the poor fishes, of course). You can swim (I did it) with sea lions, sea turtles and they wont fear you, wont attack at all. Sharks also wont attack there (although I didnt do scuba, only snorkelling, many people go there to do it!), as there are plenty of "more adequate" food for them!

Yet another great set, Otavio. Though I had to pick myself up from the floor when I saw Mike's comment and no recommendation to convert to B/W. The sea lions are cool. It's amazing how wildlife will adapt to human activity. Thanks for sharing.

Another great set Otavio. I love the story telling particularly the fact that seals are so used to people, they hang around the market. Seeing is believing.

Again lovely shots Otavio. Your series of Galapagos have made me really want to go there as I said before. I will certainly do that one day I especially loved #3.

Mike is getting used to us. He will soon become a "colour guy" (just kidding, Mike, you can keeping doing your excellent B&W work!). Yes, wildlife there just dont care if you pass quite close to them. The only rule is "dont touch them", but you really have the chance to get pretty close to these wonderful animal!

    Thanks for passing by!

The grand finale, it is good to see the people that help (in many different ways) to make a visit a success. And often, how you are to people will dictate how they are to you. Of course, that being said I know of more than a few people that could piss off a saint.
Overall a great series of shots from your visit, you did justice to the islands, the people and your own skills.
