It's far worse than that, Dave. I had never seen the crossing of the finish line so I assumed the winning runner would break through something. Instead, the force of the runner pulls the banner out of one of the holder's hands, allowing the company to constantly reuse it fully intact. Not fair!

Next time; get there early and have a word with "the holders", ask them to hang on tight - you could even pre-weaken the banner by making a small snip with scissors on the top and bottom edges in the middle. Originally Posted by Mike Buckley
