Dear fellows, I finally finished my Galápagos series! On these 15 threads, I did my best to show you all the variety of animals, landscapes and people that I had the chance to shoot during my week there, in the islands. It was really the trip of a lifetime to me and my Dad and I will be really glad if you might have enjoyed at least one of these threads.
I chose this one as a final thread for a reason: These are one of the rarest gulls in the world. They estimate there are onlly around 300 to 400 pairs of lava gulls in the whole world today (they are endemic to Galápagos area). So, to me, it was quite a feeling having the chance to shoot such an animal. I am confident we will succeed to preserve it. I noticed they put some " metal ID rings" on their legs, so I hope and believe that means some control and preservation initiative!
All the best...
