I like #2.
Bruce
Thanks Bruce, Thanks for looking!!
Hi Kathy,
I am especially fond of the 1st image for the beautiful colours, the sky and the light. Beautiful capture!
I especially like how you captured the beauty of the grass, the light falling on the rich green grass, and all the detail in the grass. When I move it around I like it with a bit of the sky cropped off (about 1/2) which highlights all the beauty of the grass, and tops it off with the best part of the beautiful sky.
Very nice, second one for me as well. It's the light in the foreground that makes it, pulls you in to the horizon and cloud formation.
Kathy, we have a conundrum here as there are two images that could very well have been made
into a WA panorama, yet you chose not to. Then applied totally different PP to each, including
tilted horizons. Were they taken a few seconds apart lending to differing light?
Regardless, I do like the splash of light on the second image...that makes the image.
Chauncey,
Thanks so much for looking at my photos and commenting. I agree I do think they could have been panorama photos, but I chose this crop because it seemed to catch the mood at the time I was taking the photos, I felt more comfortable with this crop. As far as the PP, I think they were taken pretty close together, but as you know during that time of the evening the light changes rather rapidly, I shot a lot of photos that evening choosing many different settings which plays into how a photo looks, not knowing the settings of these two photos off hand I am not sure if this is the case or not. I did play with the PP it is amazing what can happen to a photo when in PP, I am not really good at PP so I do try a lot of different things but at the same time trying not to make the photo something it was not during the shoot, I feel I did capture a very natural mood in these photos. Thanks again for your comments they are appreciated.
Kathy
Hi Kathy, very nice images I agree with Christina about the crop in #1 and I would crop about 1/3 of the sky in #2 to put more emphasis on the ground and to eliminate the grey bits of clouds which are a bit distracting.
Thank you everyone for the kind words and great advice!! It is so appreciated!
+1 on that splash of light! Very nice.
