Some of you will not want to be reminded of snow and ice, I know, so my apologies, but I am still milking my folder of shots from that memorable night in May during the spring breakup on Lake Winnipeg. C&C welcome.

Two shots, two treatments. Should my darks be darker, do you think?

I think the darks in the foreground of the first image could be adjusted, the second image the darks are just fine. Nice images.

The difference is so slight (at least on my monitor), I don't think it is worth posting, but I do think it is an improvement. Thanks, John.

Lovely sunsets Janis I like the darks as they are.

Fine for me as they are as well Janis. The first is a natural comp given the break through the trees. The second needed the figure and it works. The only possible adjustment I would suggest is to crop about half of the dark area fro the bottom of the second image. Brings the figure more into play.
