    Debuting on DSLR - Matryoshka

    Hello,

I have recently purchased my first DSLR, a Canon 70D.
Besides some pictures of family members, this is the first picture that I took with my new camera trying to take care of some aspects.
There was no post-process (I don't know how to post-process yet).

Only after taking the photo I've realised the camera was set in a low resolution. Anyway, here it is

Looks like you know something about composition and depth of field. That's good. So the more you go out to shoot with your camera the more you will find interesting subjects.

A good idea, Jonathan, but for me those figures are going in the wrong direction.

I would have started with sharp focus in the foreground then ended with the out of focus figures in the distance where they would have 'blended in' with other blurred areas such as the chair.

Doesn't really matter if you start with the big one or the little one; although I suppose starting big then fading small might give a better impression of depth.

Hum, I think I see what you mean. I'll try it later when I photograph other still life =)

It's nice to see that we can have a lot of fun in photography in our own house with objects that are there for a long time =D
