Interesting, you can't tell what the mood of the subject is.
Too me it looks like a prison, some obscure girl imprisoned wearing a wedding dress. But I could be wrong.
Thanks Steve.. that's interesting ...appreciate it.
I like the concept Sharon but the brushed overlay is a bit too dominant for me in this one.
Sharon, I think this pic is a very nice self portrait.

I really like this Sharon.
Only you really know what's going on in your mind.
And the rest of us can only guess.
Interpretation is everything.
As another woman, I have assumed that position when trying on shoes. I see a woman in the morning, getting dressed.
Nice.

Awesome and haunting image Sharon. I love!
I admire this result very much and love contemplating it. The light-dark tone patterns resulting from your composition are alone compelling even apart from the striking and mysterious subject.
I think I'm in love
Seriously Sharon, I find it difficult to deconstruct your image, but I do like it very, very much

Been looking at it for a couple of days on my phone, finally back at my comp. Hmmm....I don't don't like it. Very much like a charcoal sketch. For some reason, if I had to title it, it would be 'Metamorphosis'. Regardless, I like it. You seem to be out of your funk.
I like the area under the left arm, Sharon. I'm not quite sure what I am looking at but I find it very evocative. The out-stretched arms with the large shadows behind suggest wings to me, and therefore the figure is reminiscent of a fairy. But the drooping head and the angle of the arms on the wall suggest desperation, too ... perhaps a moment of crisis. So, I get a feeling of movement from past (the area under the left arm) to the present... either the fall or the evolution of ...?
Sharon, I like this!
