Hello Steve,
Very nice shots, My wife and I were on that boat about 3 weeks ago, however there was only half the amount of water comming down that waterfall.
Beautiful scenery steve. That waterfall would make an awesome pano.
Beautiful. Number 3 is my favorite. Love the layers of mountains. Looks like there was some pretty heavy swells that day. Nicely done.
Number 3 is awesome! I love number 5 too; very moody.
These are all great. They are too good to pick a favourite, but I do like the mood of #3. #6 is the only one that doesn't really have any impact for me.
Looks like a nice place to be
Steve
The great swell of public opinion (!) is moving towards #3 as the 'stand out'. Like everyone else, I think the whole set is beautiful. For me, however, the 'stand outs' are #1 amd #2. I put them in the same sategory as that one you posted a while back that you took, I think, whilst on holiday/vacation and which we all raved about - I tried to find it again, but couldn't(mountains with tress in the foreground).
Anyway, I think the light, shapes and tones, as well as your composition, on these two are just outstanding.
I also go for #2: I love the way the mist/clouds seem to frame the peak. What a great set overall: you sure took advantage of this trip!
Cheers,
Rick
I am going to ruin 'the swell' by saying I prefer 1, 4 and 7.
1 for the exposure, composition and colour (my favourite of the lot)
4 for the lighting, sky and angle of shot
7 for the scale, but it would be better if it were a vertical pano and we could see the top and perhaps a tad more LCE
Good series Steve, well done
I don't think I have a favorite in the waterfall variants: different concepts, both very good.
The second shot in this set (sailboat, "Chinook" on the bow, I think) is incredible. Like a postcard, only better.
Cheers,
Rick
Number 2 of your second post is sublime; great colours, composition, and reflection. Numbers 3 and 4 are also nice.
Very nice series. I like all of them but #3 the best.
Chuck
Yes, this follow-on series is very good too. I might have let the foreground go a little darker in 2 to try and tone down the sky a touch, or perhaps down some selective darkening.
