Taken inside an old grain silo converted into an art installation, studio. Shot with Olympus Pen EPL1: f/4.7, 1/250s, ISO 2500. There are some overhead lighting but the artists typically use natural light as their source.

That really is a very nice conversion John. The only suggestion I might make is to take a slice off the top to reduce the paper highlight a bit. I know that you would lose some of the drawn image but I don't think that matters since it's not the main subject. Nice image (and nice quality).

Hi John I like this image. Is there a yellow light because everywhere seems yellowish or is it the light reflecting off the wall I find the painting on the wall a bit bright and distracting.

Hi Binnur, there were also overhead lights which perhaps caused the yellowish hue. That is actually a window, I toned it down a bit as highlights were completely blown.

Completely agreed with everything. If you decide to crop a little at the top as suggested, you may also need to crop a little at the bottom.

Good job on the conversion of the first one, John. You have managed to separate the white hair from the white background very well, and maintained detail in the blacks of her attire. I wonder if you have tried a conversion of the 2nd shot, too.
