Just want to share this with everyone

So recently I was at the Niagra Falls on the US side, and right next to my hotel was this church just begging to get its photo taken. I just want everyone to see the difference from before and after post processing in photoshop and lightroom. I'm not sure why, but I feel like I'm proud of the editing done here, its nothing extreme but it was tedious and its more than I usually do to my photos. Let me know what you think comments and criticism are always helpful.

Very impressive edit. Seamless job of removing the extraneous stuff, especially the sign. The edited version is a vast improvement over the original, nice and simple

The hardest part was definitely removing the light cast on the building from the sign. You can still kind of see it if you look carefully.

Everything was removed using the pen tool and clone stamp tool

Well done Zach! Having done a bit of this kind of processing, I know that establishing what was missing behind the sign and the tonal changes to the tower can be quite frustrating. The key to knowing if you are successful is to have folks look at the finished image and not be able to fathom what was changed. Very well done indeed.

Thank you very much! The only hard part was finding a way to change the tone of the light cast haha for the sign you just have to make things up to make it work haha

Nice edit; you might want to do a perspective correction to finish off the image. The church tower seems to be ready to come crashing down...

How long did that take Zach?

That's good assuming that you made cutting selection with a mouse and clone everything back piece by piece with clone stamp tool

Totally unnoticeable if you didn't have the benefit of the "before" image. Nice job done.

That was the part that seemed the most difficult to me, given my knowledge, or lack of knowledge, of PS. Can you describe how you did it?

Made the most accurate selection of the area as I could with the pen tool, then added a warming filter to it and dropped the exposure down until it matched appropriately

That's excellent. It's seamless considering that you only apply warming filter and drop exposure to the selection of the light casted part of the building only.

By the way, do you remove object first before you clone stamp or you just clone stamp on top of it?
