I like this style a lot. No focus stacking is needed for me.

It's interesting that the title of your thread implies that the spider's legs are the subject. For me, its body is the subject. If you wanted the legs to be the subject, I agree with Chauncey that displaying more if not all of the legs sharply in focus would be better.

This image would also work in black-and-white, so much so that I just couldn't resist demonstrating my firm grasp of the obvious.
