B&W Street Photography - Guatemala
Another Silver Efex Pro 2 conversions of shots taken at the market in San Pedro la Laguana, Guatemala. This woman is one of many vegetable sellers we saw there.

Just keep 'em coming, Manfred. They're wonderful. They're so full of information. Each is telling a story.

This works great. I wouldn't be surprised if the clothing in the color version distracts from the attention the woman is paying to working with her hands.

Re: B&W Street Photography - Guatemala
Really dig this, Manfred. The shot tells a story, which I think is equally important. When I look at trends in Street Photography, Man is either smaller than the entire world - or just part of the facade of the urban structure. It seems that Man has been relegated to mere forms, objects and abstractions. Your photo obviously does not convey that. There is dignity in what she does. On the technically side, the shot is wonderfully executed. The wall texture blends well in the background. The items next to her give a lot of information on what her trade is. I also like how the shadows and the highlights are balanced to create depth - tricking the eye to see three dimensionally. Something I aspire to do on my work. Cheers.
