Yes and no. During the wall construction the plant was knocked over by the water hose. The flowers grew vertically but the leaves stayed horizontal.
Well that explains that, a little more separation between subject and the leaves would help, the diagonal lines are too dominant within the image distracting at least my eyes past the flower.

aside from physically removing the flower I am not sure how to do what you suggest?
