Dog, beach, stick, fun. C&C welcome

Haven't been motivated to go out with my camera in while but taking the dog out yesterday I decided to grab it and see what I could get. Besides cropping the only other PP I've done is a bit of sharpening and rotating.

Well...ya gonna throw it or what?

    I'm on it.

    There it is...brake, brake, brake!

    Throw again please!

Excellent action shots Jack, and the light is just great.

One very minor point - there is a little bit of canvas showing on the left of the second image !

Nice action shots of your dog really having fun. How much sand did the doodle bring home in his coat. I don't like this short trim on Sullivan, the rescue Goldendoodle but, it was how he was trimmed when we got him and it sure makes it easier after the pool. He just about cleans himself...

You have a lovely dog. My favourite is the last one. I would crop #1 just a little from top because the dark part of the wave is competing with your dog. IMO cropping just a little reduces the impact

Very nice, Jack! The second one (once you fix the lower left corner) and the fourth one are just terrific.

If presenting them as a set is important to you, make sure the brightness of common elements (sand, water, dog's hair) is the same in every image.

Hmmmmmm. Two of the images have been removed. Not fair!

    Thanks John.

Thanks Dave. This was about 1 1/2 hrs before sunset so the sun was low enough so as not to be too harsh.
Funny I never noticed that little white sliver, no idea how that got past me, I'll get on that.

Rita, thanks. She absolutely loves the beach, and gets moody and depressed when we have to leave for a couple of day.
    (But then, so do I.)

Richard, when she comes back to the house, where ever she lays, she'll leave a significant outline of her body in sand. On the deck, the floor, the couch. Ah well, it is the beach. Love the pics of Sullivan, my doodle has yet to go into a pool, on the other hand, she loves the ocean. We're going to get a trim this week I hope but I don't want to trim as close as Sullivan. Her coat is a big part of her personality.

Binnur, thanks. I agree with your thoughts on cropping.

Mike, thanks, of course it's hard for me to pick a favorite, but if I had to it would be the fourth image. Not to concerned about continuity between the images but it will send me back to PP to see if I can make them more similar. I haven't removed any of the images so you should be seeing all four.

They're all being displayed now. Apparently the gremlins took over momentarily earlier. Never question the power of gremlins.

Thanks Greg. You have no idea how much of a character she is.

There are few things in the world that express pure joy as much as a dog on a beach. Add a stick to fetch and it's nearly heaven. Nice shots.

By the way, I do the same thing when I haven't shot in a while. Just take the camera along for a walk with the dog.

    David, thank you very much.

Dan, thanks. She absolutely loves the beach, the ocean and getting wet. You're right, throw a stick in and she's ecstatic.
