Ok. I did learn a lesson. Get there early enough so as to get good seats. This is a situation where front row was just too close. Most of the fireworks I did cut off. Next time, I will be back further. Nothing like having ash fall on you and your camera equipment. I was literally looking up.
I did shoot bulb this time, and I am a convert. Completely and utterly in love. Thank you Binnur.
What I found about bulb. Keep the shutter open for as long as you like. If there is a break in the action, release. Multiple exposures make for really cool pictures.
These were all processed in RAW, only. Noise reduction, increase black points, increased vibrance just a little. Some sharpening. Other than that, converted to jpeg and sized for posting here.
Next time, I will try for some shots that have anchors - like people, scenery, etc.
