I could have commented on your photo without researching Canobie Dick (only partially completed), found quite a few websites dedicated to the tale. Ironically, only a passing reference on Wikipedia.

I just thought it might help to make sense out of the shot if i explained it a bit. I am going to agree with you and not change a thing.
