Some great shots there Jeff well thought out and composed. Shooting people in direct sunlight is never easy and as these appear candid theres little you can do about the light. Do you know these children? if you do and can get them to pose, then try to move them to the shade and use some flash to add light direction and a catchlight. in direct sunlight some fill flash helps but if you over do it, it separates the person so much from the back ground it almost makes them look 3D!

ive been playing a lot with this lately and im going to post about it when i get the time . to give you an idea about fill flash ive posted a pic below where the flash was overdone it was taken with a point n shoot so the flash couldnt be taken off the camera which would have helped. The look is a little surreal but some folk like it.



And this one is just to give you some idea of what the light conditions actually were im sory they arnt the same pose but it was just a family day out not a togging day as my wife calls them
