    Okay I am looking at both skills and equipment coming together in a superb fashion. Now a question: can you get that detail for the whole moth or are you restricted to just a part? I love the detail but I like taking a wider shot.

    Hi Brian,

    Good question. I am not restricted in any way I just have to move further away to get the whole critter in the frame but to be honest I rarely do this because my main interest is to record the detail that we would not normally see.

    For this moth I did take a full top view but to me it does not really work, looks flat because of the lighting and a side view would have been better. Next time I find one I'll have some attempts at getting full views.
