    Newlywed Hands

After my wife and I got married in March I took this picture in Carmel, California. Not bad considering I didn't have a tripod and had to "model" at the same time. What do you guys think of using this photo as a wedding album cover? Does the WB look a little bit magenta or is it just me?

There is a slight hint of magenta across the fingers, and the drain below the hands should be deleted, otherwise, nicely done.

Hahah, I didn't even notice the drain! Thanks for the pointer!

Nice shot zac and the idea of a wedding cover for this type of shot is great but the comp is slightly wrong on this shot, the thumbs dont quite work for me and the brides sleeve is wrong for some reason, it just doesnt look like bridal attire to me, but its only my take on things.

Congratulations to both of you Zak,
I like the image and more so without the drain
I think it could work as a wedding album cover but agree about the sleeve. Just as a suggestion what about a 8 x 10 crop, that sort of moves the rings in the top left rule of thirds position and cuts out the sleeve. Also what about a black and white conversion for the album cover and have the colour version somewhere else in the album.
    Cheers mate, Greg

Congratulations. One thing I might mention. The flats of the hands (especially female hands) photographed straight-on are not really flattering and give a more masculine look.. Another pose might be more flattering and elegant. The Internet has many tutorials regarding photographing hands. Here is a YouTube tutorial by Joe Edelman... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-7hnA0d8jw
