Re: Milkweed Bug
Two nice shots David but the second ticks all of the boxes for me. It's an attractive insect. Is it a pest?.

Re: Milkweed Bug
Although I like #1, as Binnur and John have indicated, #2 is the best, possible because of the shooting angle where we're looking AT the bug and not DOWN on it.

Re: Milkweed Bug
My vote goes to #2 too David. I like it for the side view, more sexier.

Re: Milkweed Bug
Nice shots....I've seen this particular bug on milkweed on the ranch where I grew up. There's another common bug or beetle I saw on milkweed and I'd love to photograph it someday if I can. It's a beautiful metallic blue in color. Of course the monarch butterfly only lays eggs on plants in the milkweed family and I have managed to photograph the lifecycle on the monarch...a fun project. Thanks for sharing your bugs.

Re: Milkweed Bug
Cheers John, I have no idea if they are pests, I have seen them eat anything from bird poo to spiders

Re: Milkweed Bug
Thanks Chuck, they can be very colourful these little bugs, good luck with capturing the blue one! It would be great to see your Monarch images if you don't mind posting them?

Re: Milkweed Bug
It's No 2 for me as well David, it seems he's not sure where to put his back legs.
And I see our Izzie is back and it now seems our challenge is not just finding 'cute' bugs but 'sexy' as well
Cheers, Grahame
