you are assuming the subject is the cricket. Another possibility is that the subject is the bright leaf which could symbolize the next step of the journey. Or I could have just mucked up the shot.

I never thought of the shot that way. Not that you are wrong to. If he is a dragon then you are right he needs to be a little fiercer looking.
