From the top of Mt. Tinchara, CO, 14,000 ft. Is it worth saving?

Very interesting shot, your choice of placing the travelers where you did adds a bit of mystery in your composition method. The snow runoff, the winding path leading behind the hill, the shades of green all make for an interesting landscape.

The Suburban, our method of transport, took up a good portion of the trail, they had to go around it
and I cropped it out of the picture.

I like it, although it seems a bit oversaturated. What would it look like if you cropped just a tad off the left?

Interesting composition the greens seem a little too saturated but it works as an image for me 👍

Beautiful image! For the gorgeous scenery captured with such beautiful detail, and extra special because of the road leading to the mountains/clouds and the folks on horseback.

I also think it is a beautiful image but I would prefer if the intensity of the snow runoff was toned down as the eye is immediately drawn to it.

I would like more space on the people at the right side. They looked cramp there...The whole scenery is beautiful up there I suppose...the greens are just needing a little bit of lesser colour. Is this one HDR-ed?

That image was taken in 2008, the year that I left Colorado. The clarity of the atmosphere at that altitude
is truly something different...as is the lack of oxygen.
Those riders are on their way down from a higher altitude inaccessible by our transport. Regardless,
the more I look at this version, as well as hearing your comments...a complete rework is in order.

Meanwhile, obeying the old suggestion, I turned around and looked down to the headwaters of the
    Cuchara River.

Nice second image, I love to see how the colors change as clouds pass over. Can make for interesting shots when you have the camera set to manual.
