The rain has finally stopped, seems like it has been pouring down for days so out we went for a wander through a local dene.

Since your focus is on the centre drop, you could have blurred the rest of the shot. Have you tried that version? Nice shot ...if it caught your attention there must be something special about it for you....

Not into manipulating shots that way but I see what you mean - this was blurred the old fashioned way with DoF.
The light was catching the drops of water which made interesting shapes so it was a case of finding a leaf (leaves) that looks good together.
