    Plans are now complete for a return trip next Spring, taking a group of photographers out there.

    I must say I can't wait.

    Excellent imagery, Gary. It does indeed look like quite the location for landscape photography. The "basalt gallery of Svartifoss" is simply amazing geography and an awesome capture of it. This whole series is a lesson in how the landscape photographer needs to recognize opportunities. Sometimes it's the grand vista and sometimes it's smaller details. Nicely done and thanks for sharing.

    Sometimes the lighting forces you to look at thing differently.

    One day the light might be good for grand vistas, another it might favour the small stuff.

    I'm starting to look at the new locations for my next trip, Easter 2015, now.

    I'm amazed how much the place has got a grip on me, I can't wait to get back there.
