I like the treatment you gave #2, the singer but I do not like the background is overprocessed -- RHS top can be adjusted back a little to make it smoother as remember, the eyes is always attracted to the brightest part of the photograph.

I would reduce the highlights and rotate the image clokcwise just a little.
