Nicely done, very vivid patterns, lines, and colors.

Hi again Colin I like your style in this image. Simple but strong composition, lovely colours

Placing the top of that pole right on the horizon is exactly where it needed to be. Anywhere else and it would have had a negative effect on the image. Lovely image.

Thanks folks. Ironically, despite the title, it wasn't actually stretched at all - just a panoramic crop. Some may (or may not!) be interested to learn that all 3 landscapes were shot with a 70-200mm lens.

    Hi Colin,

I missed this one. Beautiful and my new favourite! Love the colours, light and the way they frame the even more gorgeous light and colours of the horizon.

I love the pole, too. Is its purpose to balance the mountain peaks?

    Thanks again folks.

@ Christina - yes - I used the stick to anchor the right-hand end of the image. I would probably have looked OK without it, but thought I'd leave it in.

    Thank you Colin,

Appreciated. I'm trying to learn about balance - new & different for me to think about - and not something that comes to mind easily when composing an image. Of course the image would still be beautiful without the stick in the foreground - unbalanced? And balancing the image with the stick makes it extra special?
