Mike I've already commented on #1 and #2 but I must add that #3 is also very nice indeed. Great light and a strong composition.

If I could also add a comment on the point that Christina raised - usually if I'm adjusting the colour of the sky in an image like this, I use the HSL tab in ACR/Lightroom or the individual colour saturation adjustments in PS. These adjustments are applied to the whole image and I find that when the sky colour is changed, the reflection colour usually follows suit.

Excellent shots Mike, I hope your '' midnight sun'' adventure was everything you expected. It's a strange feeling the lack of darkness.

Beautiful images of your wonderful adventure. I particularly like No. 3 as the calm water reflects the colours in the sky that can often be captured with the setting sun.......so you did find some of that 'magic light'!

    Thank you, all!

I actually didn't know what to expect about the midnight sun so I was pleased that it was very interesting. Two tidbits about it: I was able to comfortably read a book in the light of it. My wife dreads not finishing a hike before dusk because she has difficulty seeing then and later. (We carry headlights with us.) Knowing that we could take as long as we wanted hiking down a mountain because she would always be able to easily see without the headlights was calming.

Lovely set of images Mike. They are each beautiful for different reasons.

#1 could be used on a travel brochure and the coloring is beautiful.

#2 the light is just stunning and I agree with Donald's comments.

#3 I love this composition with the mountains on either side framing the lovely foreground.

Mike, time has been at a premium lately but I have been lurking a fair bit

Thank you for your insights on my Oregon photos BTW. It means a lot to me that you took the time to do that when you got home from what looks like a fabulous vacation. So where next?

Don't know. We'll probably go to Teton National Park in the fall but we may go somewhere else first.
