Nicely captured.
Yes.
My personal opinion on watermarks is that you should only use them if photography is a business for you. Otherwise don't use them.
Also, I thought I'd share this:

I find it funny. Others may not.
Mission accomplished. You did good.
Beautiful shot Kim - you did good, wait, no great!
This beautiful image does indeed portray that sense of togetherness......well done.
Thank you so much everyone - appreciate the kind feedback :-)
Very nice indeed Kim
It's very understandable why you feel so good about this. For me, the image works even better in black-and-white, as all of the attention is put on the relationship between man and horse.
I usually don't comment about watermarks, but the use of this one makes no sense to me. First, it seems that the only reason for the negative space on the right is to accommodate the watermark; the photo would be stronger in my mind without that space. Second, if the purpose of the watermark is to somehow protect you, your post-processing skills are so good that surely you know it would take only about two seconds to completely remove it. Third, this watermark is far more distracting than most.
Thanks again everyone. I usually don't watermark, so please pardon that - I guess it's just because I am so very proud of this, that I stuck my name on it. Yes, I know it could be removed in about 1 second.
I haven't tried it in B&W yet.
Hi Kim,
I hope you didn't take it personally. We are not trying to bash you for watermarking your photos but I hope you understand that it is somewhat pointless particularly when sharing online. That and it can take away some of the beauty of your image.
Cheers,
Daniel
Hi Kim,
Hey, watermarks?
No prob. Just move on.
That is a great image! The expression of love on the man's face, and the horse leaning down towards him definitely portrays the love between them!
" it is somewhat pointless particularly when sharing online."
Sharing online is where most images are hijacked & used by others. Granted a watermark on the edge can be removed, but I actually paid no attention to this one, until others objected about it.
Hi Carol, Please don't take it as an objection. I think people here were only trying to help improve on one another. Speaking for myself, it was more of a preference. I suppose I have not articulated myself well. No malice intended.
Kim, you should be proud of your work and I don't think anyone is telling you to remove your mark.
Cheers.
I've enjoyed reviewing your photo several times and once I noticed the little, bright orange light near the bottom in the background, I can't take my eyes off it. You might want to remove it.
I agree with all so far, a wonderful image and a distracting watermark.
Being a bit into Equestrian photography myself, I can understand how tricky it can be, so I am so glad to enjoy your image.
But the absolute bestest part, for an arachnophobe was the title.... I just knew I wasn't going to open the thread & get a nasty surprise of an enormous spider! (Selfish I know but said with a smile & a kind wish to you)
