    Music through the ages

These shots were taken whilst walking aroung the streets of Glasgow, where the Commonwealth games are currently taking place and the city is buzzing, athletes, sportsmen / women, spectators from all over the world walking about enjoying the smells and sounds of this great city. This young guy had about 10 young girls waiting for his performance. All c&c gratefully received.

I really like how the first one shows the city in the background and the girl's look of anticipation on the musician's left side. Consider placing a very slight vignette around the musician, just enough to focus our attention on him.

All nicely captured street shots, Gerry. The photos have some certain rawness about them that I really like. Although I don't always agree with the common rubrics of street photography, i.e. one should avoid processing and enhancing images of street, I feel that you've left some "imperfections" on your images to give a sense of raw beauty to the viewers. Btw, I think the girls were more interested in the singer's hair than his music :-)

Good set, Gerry. In the first shot, the guy seems to be taking himself more seriously than the music; while the guy in the second looks like he has given himself to the raw emotion of the music. In the third shot, the woman appears to be playing for simple pleasure of it. Well captured.

I was late to this show and I agree with Greg. Good street photography...

Nicely captured, needs more of the swooning girls in the first image.

Gerry, this one for me is the best. I love how people are surrounding him. IMHO, I think it tells a more powerful story.

Rob, until now I never noticed how the ''older'' guy on the left looks so dismisssive
