Hi Rob,

Just to say that I adore your work as it is full of life. Beautiful composition and light! I don't venture into this section very often but your title caught my eye. The miracle of work is (ie the story behind the image) ?

It is also very nice to see how one might use a wide angle lens to take a photo of a person.

I'm curious what it is that you do with your images in post processing as they are very different. I also ask because I have many images of scenes from Mexico that one day I hope to try playing around with to see if I can create an artistic image. Albeit I have very little knowledge of B&W images and I'm still learning to post process. (beginner plus level, or not quite intermediate

A very interesting interpretation with the wide angle shot. The hands are certainly prominant and well lite, while the subject is nicely isolated from the background. I wonder though, it it might have worked better with a bit more DoF; I'm not sure if the out of focus woman quite works; not quite sharp enough in one way, from a more classical view of having the subject's eyes in sharp focus and not soft enough to made her look even more abstract.

I'm still thinking about this one...

Hi Manfred. I feel that if I blurred the woman's face or kept it sharp on camera (sans PP), it would have looked ordinary and safe - as those techniques have been done so often. So this was a decision I made at the moment. As you well know, in street photography, one has to decide real quick what the camera settings and the framing would be for that moment. Otherwise, one looses the shot. In my mind, I am happy with this. Maybe that is all that counts.
