Smile for the Camera (Grab Shot)

I haven't been getting out much lately - wet / windy weather, poor health, and a gammy knee have kept me cooped up. But I went out yesterday afternoon because I was desperate, althoughconditions were terrible. There was hardly anyone about and the wind was howling and bitterly cold as you can see from the coat on the woman - and the dog was wearing nearly as many clothes as her.

This was taken about 10 mins before sunset, hence the sideways light from the left. It's not the sharpest photo - the dog and its owner were bending in the breeze as was I, so there is subject and camera movement. But when I saw this little guy smiling at me I had to take his photo - although, maybe his teeth were just chattering.

Is that a natural teeth for a dog? Correct me if I am wrong, Richard (where are you?) but I thought doggie teeth are supposed to be sharp...this one is almost like human teeth, Greg....

The front teeth of dogs are not sharp, very much like human teeth. The sharp teeth are the "fangs" that are on both sides of the front teeth.

I love it! Dogs often smile and getting that smile makes a good shot. Maybe he's wearing doggie dentures...

Thanks for viewing and commenting folks, I am glad you all appreciate the cuteness of this pup as much as I did. When I first noticed it though, I did a double take as I didn't realise it was a dog the woman was holding. The smile looked all too human to me and it reminded me of Jojo (http://www.thehumanmarvels.com/the-w...ypertrichosis/ ).
