Evening or morning all, Had my first attempt at capturing some action at Archerville Speedway today. My nephew Jake has just started cart racing this year so uncle Greg is now official team photographer

Great thing about the cart racing is that I'm so close to the track, and unlike my stepsons speedway racing I'm not trying to shoot through wire fence's, makes life a whole lot easier

Yep, know where you are coming from. This was Jakes 6th or 7th race meet but I have always been flat out with something else.
Glad I finally got there, it was so much fun.

Nice shots Greg and a bit challenging to capture those quick moving machined with such sharpness. Well done! I lofe the framing and reflection that you pointed out in the 2nd shot but all three are very nice.

Andre I certainly hope to be able to get to more meetings and apparently it is not too hard to get an infield pass as a photographer.

In ascending order, #3 for a great context shot, #2 for the reflection in the visor, which is an awesome shot, and #1, the best of the bunch because I get to see your nephew's eyes, which for me tells the whole story. In fact I would toss #s 2 & 3 and just keep #1! It is the story.

Thanks Jack, I really like #1 as well. Jake is a very serious young fella so it was no problem for him when I asked him to put his race face on
