Re: Evening walk in Wharfedale
Kaye,
Your photos do give me a feeling of a nice evening walk. I like the last one the best as it looks like a very nice view and gives a peaceful feeling. In the other two photos, though, I'm not certain what I should be looking at. If the subject in the first is the "riverside" or little flowers then the bright out of focus river detracts from them. They are prominent in position but don't show up that well. In the second, that flat rock facing the viewer is what immediately draws the eye.
It must have been nice to revisit old memories. Thanks for sharing them.

Re: Evening walk in Wharfedale
Nice set Kaye, I do like the first and last images. maybe just a little more DOF in the first would have helped the viewer to see just a bit more of the bridge. The blue flower is nicely placed on a third and is very eye catching, well done.
WRT the second image, I struggled with the little waterfall, firstly I had to look twice* to make out the top of the image (I think due to the green ISH reflected colour) I'm thinking maybe a portrait crop of the waterfall to loose the left hand side dark rock ?
It's nice to be able to revisit places that haven't been spoilt by development over time.
* not a bad thing to do

Re: Evening walk in Wharfedale
Hi Kaye,
I like the 3rd image, beautifully composed.
I also like the 2nd image cropped (as seen by moving it around in the lyte box) almost in half (like a panorama) just above the tip of the bright white water, and a little off of the right hand side (placing the rocks in the lower right hand corner). Perhaps that sounds strange but I see a beautiful abstract like painting with beautiful light and colours. ie; a different image within your image.

Re: Evening walk in Wharfedale
Thank you all for your comments. I'll try the crop on the 2nd later, that's very good idea - I captured this one purely because I saw the late sun shining under the bridge, just lighting up the fall, so thank you for the suggestions to make it a better image.
Hopefully, Peter, this bit of Yorkshire will never be spoilt.

My vote goes to #1...as per Terri's post. That little purple flower made it for me although as like in another post I just saw this morning, the notations you put before it doesn't match the shot. I would have preferred a clearer view of the river too along with that purple flower...it is a very attractive shot.
