Re: Splish, Splash... Moose Series #2
Another great series, Terri. I love the last one; a very unconventional shot of a moose. He might be smiling for you; with a face only a mother could love.

Re: Splish, Splash... Moose Series #2
I didn't comment on your first series because I felt that it isn't up to your normal standard of work. Just the opposite, this series might present you with the enviable problem of raising your quality of work to a new level.
Though all of them are really nice, the third one makes me think the moose is looking right at me. Am I jealous that I've never gotten a great image such as that one with the water dripping in perfect light, depth of field and with great post-processing? You betcha!

Great work, Terri, I love the 3rd and 4th. In the 3rd, the moose seems to have a knowing look in its eye.

For me it's No 3 here for exactly the same reasons Mike has mentioned.
I seem to recall a thread here a while ago explaining the advantage of using the background colour and its reflection to enhance animals in water it this one sure does it Terri.

Really a nice set, Terri. No.3 is a cut above the others for the lighting, eye contact, and the water drops running off the animal. Nice work.

Thanks everyone for taking the time and for the nice compliments. This was a good trip for me for many reasons and it's nice that people who know about photography also think I've gotten some nice shots.
Mike, thank for the honest feedback. Point taken.

Great captures- # 3 is my fav for the detail and the perfect lighting on the side of it's face and dribbling water.

Hi Terri,
Just to add, all wonderful, and yes #3 is absolutely exquisite (a wall hanger and an award winner).... I also love #4 for the moment and all the splashes. I am dreaming of moose and capturing images like yours.

Re: Splish, Splash... Moose Series #2
Thank you, everyone for your comments!
Chauncey, yes I am old enough to know the song. Even though the moose weren't taking a bath, I still thought it appropriate and I figured other of a certain age would get the reference.
Chuck, yes these shots were taken in northern Colorado almost to Wyoming. For those unfamiliar, these are Shiras Moose which are the smallest subspecies in North America.

Re: Splish, Splash... Moose Series #2
Terri;
#3 is a wall hanger as others have already confirmed. #4 is quite comical - he looks like he has a really bad hangover!
I'm so glad that you enjoyed your photo trip and are sharing the results with us
