Mountain lake in early morning mist

This is a location I have often shot. This was in the early morning, as a heavy mist was lifting. The tree on the right was in clear early morning light. C&C welcome, of course.

Nice setting Dan. The area certainly reminds me of the landscape up this way as well.

Somehow, I've never quite managed to be out with a camera at the same time the fog was around. It makes for some wonderful shots like this one.

Excellent shot, Dan. I really like the composition on this. This is a case where the split frame works due to the reflection and the other elements. I like the lillipads in the foreground and the bit of sunlit foreground really gives the sense of sunrise. Really a pleasant image. Good job.

Thanks, all. I generally do avoid a vertical split, but in this case, it seemed a reasonable thing to do.

beautiful shot Dan, the only slight criticism id have are the lillies in the for ground, the make a serene image look a little busy or cluttered somehow... i looked at crops but yours is best, id be tempted to clone

I just wonder about a little less, or maybe a bit more, of the right hand trees?

Possibly crop so there is only one trunk, and a similar balancing amount from the bottom?
