I like the detail of the foreground image, the middle ground is lacking in detail, the LCD shows a more dramatic sky than what is shown in your image. Are we looking at an actual or is your model holding a phone with another image presented?

One of those situations where it is impossible to get a foreground subject and the background both sharp.

So I wonder about cropping to 4 x 5 ratio, or maybe square, to reduce the area of rather bland out of focus background?

Your title mentiones a silhouette but I can't see a silhouette in the image Was your goal to shoot the man as a silhouette? If so, you have to expose for the sky while shooting . In this way you also don't get a blown out sky

it was candid picture where my trying to capture a sunset
